Belemir Baran began her musical studies in Istanbul at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Univeristy State Conservatory in 2004. She has participated in numerous music festivals including the Ayvalik International Music Festival, Beethovenfest Germany, Taormina Festival, and the Young Euro Classic in Berlin, and the 2017 Lucerne Festival Academy. Since moving to the Netherlands, she has performed with various orchestras such as the Kamerorkest Concerto Brabant, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, Het Metropole Orkest, and Het Residentie Orkest. She also particitaped in many masterclasses within Turkey and the Netherlands where she worked with Stephan Picard, Pierre Amoyal, Lukas David, Olga Martinova and Calvin Wiersma. She obtained her master degree from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague where she studied with Theodora Geraets.
Currently, she plays on a violin built in 1894 by Joseph Hel made available to her by Het Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
